First Semester Content and Problem Solving Skill Reflection
A skill that I have developed over the first semester is trigonometry. I think that Lauren taught this lesson very well because she taught us how to calculate the answer on a calculator and showed us how to solve the problem without one. At first I struggled with knowing when to divide or multiply to find the answer, but I later found out when to use either one of the methods. One problem solving skill I have developed is recognizing and resolving errors. I think that I grew in this skill because I noticed that in a lot of work that I do and make mistakes on I usually will keep working on the problem until I solve it and use past mistakes to create a better final product. I used this skill in POW 5 because I struggled with finding the greatest number of pieces but used my mistakes to generate new ideas.
